Critics Ratings
'2013 from 2 old schist-based Kasteelberg vineyards. Natural ferment, & old oak (as for all Mullineux whites). Understated & refined, with similar mineral undertone to stellar 2012 (5 stars). Subtler than Quartz sibling but equally focused & ageable.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2015 - 4.5*
'The sophomore 2013 Mullineux Schist Chenin comes from two 35-year-old vineyards and has a seductive lemon thyme, dried pineapple and quince-scented bouquet, hints of lemon curd developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with touches of lime flower, dried apricot, a touch of quince and great precision on the finish. I cannot wait to see how this develops and though approachable now, I would prefer to cellar my bottles for 3-4 years.' - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 93/100 (Oct 2014)
