Protégé Collection - Kaylin Willscott - Entropy Pinotage 2022

This wine was made by Kaylin under the mentorship of JD Pretorius whilst she was at Warwick Wine Estate during her second year as a Protégé.

Grapes were harvested by hand from two blocks of Pinotage from the historic Uitkyk Estate. The average age of the vines is approximately 20 years. Two batches of Pinotage - one whole-bunch and the other destemmed - were vinified, pressed and aged separately. Ageing took place in a combination of new and older French oak barrels for 12 months before blending and bottling.

This wine is playful and fruity on the nose with a distinctive carbonic character and fresh raspberry. It has a lighter body and soft tannins to complement the delicate flavours. A touch of oak brings it all together.

This wine is packed in a wooden box.
