Chateau de Villeneuve is the name of several wine estates in France, but one of the most well-known is Chateau de Villeneuve in the Loire Valley. This estate is housed in an 18th-century chateau surrounded by beautiful gardens and vineyards, making it a popular destination for wine lovers and tourists visiting the Loire Valley.

Coming from the vineyard which surrounds the château, this cuvée is only produced in the best years. It is aged for 14 months in 12hl wooden vats. It is distinguished by its freshness, fine-grained tannins, silken texture, elegance and sapid, chalky finish. A remarkable wine which needs at least five years to release its full potential.

Limestone covered with clay gives rise to rich wines with a complex aromatic palette. After a few years of keeping, this 2015 offers us superb flavors of white flowers and exotic fruits. Retaining freshness and a very nice minerality, it will age gracefully for at least another 5 years. 100% chenin. Vines planted on the Clos des Cormiers. Turonian clay-limestone soil. 'Saumur-Champigny comes from 30 to 40 year-old Cabernet Franc vines grown on soils made of clay and chalk. Powerful nose of summer berry fruit with gamey hints. The palate is ample and rich, with ripe blackberry, plum and cassis notes. Very good ripeness throughout, yet quite fresh and balanced finish.' - Le Caveau
