Setting the wine world on fire with their maiden 2011 Alheit Vineyards Cartology release, Chris and Suzaan Alheit set out to harness the best old vineyards across the Cape. With a focus on Chenin Blanc, today they produce South Africa’s most profound whites. Due to drought conditions their Radio Lazarus Vineyard saw its last commercial release in 2017. This Chenin Blanc vineyard in Bottelary was planted in 1978 and a mere 76 bottles were produced in 2018. Here is a small chance to buy a true unicorn wine and this must rate as one of SA’s scarcest wines.
