 Wine Storage

Established in 2007 by the dynamic husband-and-wife team, Chris and Andrea Mullineux, have in a very short space of time established Mullineux Family Wines as one of South Africa's most celebrated producers. Their track record speaks for itself: Awarded Wine Enthusiast’s International Winemaker of the Year in 2016, Tim Atkin’s SA Winemakers of the Year in 2017 and three times Platter’s Winery of the Year (2014, 2016 and 2019). Showing off the individuality of the Swartland terroir, the Granite is from 14-year-old vines on granite soils located on the Paardeberg mountain. It scored 18/20 from Jancis Robinson.

A seminal study in terroir. Near identical viticulture & winemaking show soil’s effect to great advantage. 2010 granite produces ethereal Rhone-like violets & pepper spices, couched in supple ‘feminine’ form.’  Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2013, 4.5*
