Notes
The Blossom pattern, called Magnolia in Denmark, ranks alongside Pyramid among Georg Jensen's most celebrated designs, produced across both flatware and hollowware. Jensen introduced it in 1919, developing the large-scale, naturalistic magnolia motif from a teapot he had designed back in 1905, his very first piece of hollowware. It remains, even now, more heavily handworked than any of his other patterns, produced exclusively by hand and in sterling silver, which has always made it one of the most labour-intensive and sought-after of his designs.
