Notes
Spaghetti lamps, characterized by their distinctive 'spaghetti-like' strands of material were popular during the mid-20th century. These lamps often featured shades made from spun lucite, fibreglass or plastic, creating a unique diffused light effect.
Though unsigned, the combination of sculptural wood, metal fittings and whimsical acrylic shades is consistent with American makers such as Majestic Lamp Company (Newark, NJ) and Modeline of California, both known for bold, organic modernist lighting designs in the 1960s.
