Notes
This table is inspired by the pioneering bentwood furniture developed by the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto (1898-1976). Laminated timber was steam-bent into flowing, organic forms, resulting in furniture that was both structurally innovative and visually sculptural.
Bakker & Steyger was a renowned South African furniture manufacturer founded in 1965, celebrated for its iconic mid-century modern (MCM) designs. Known for premium craftsmanship using solid oak and sapele wood.
