Two consecutive classic releases of Sophia, crafted to mark the Cape Winemakers Guild auctions of nine and ten years ago, as well as the 20th and 21st harvests at Jordan Wine Estate.

The 2013 blend comprises 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc while the 2014 Sophia is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The 2014 vintage marks a defining moment, signalling the coming of age of Jordan Wine Estate's red wine portfolio.

Celebrated as one of South Africa's most highly regarded Bordeaux-style blends, this wine reveals luscious dark fruit beautifully integrated with oak, offering richness and elegance layered with notes of cedar and finely textured velvety tannins.

Named 'Sophia' after the legendary mother of Faith, Hope and Charity this wine embodies the character of its three Bordeaux varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The grapes are sourced from the finest hillside vineyards at Jordan Wine Estate, overlooking Table Mountain and False Bay. While each release shows subtle vintage variation, both the 2013 and 2014 harvests provide exceptional drinking pleasure.
