About this Item

David Sadie - David & Nadia
4 x 1.5 litre bottles comprising two bottles Aristargos 2024 and two bottles Elpidios 2023

The Aristargos 2024 shows our focus on working with Certified Heritage Vineyards (Chenin blanc, Sémillon, Colombar and Clairette blanche). We keep the backbone of this wine from granitic soils of the Paardeberg. Chenin blanc from shallow shale soils in the Paardeberg and iron-rich clay soils to the west of Malmesbury are also added. In total, grapes from 12 different vineyards were used, picked in 17 different lots, from different soils, different aspects, different vineyard ages and different maturity levels to create focused, detailed and balanced wines from our warm climate.
Chenin blanc (51%), Colombar (13%), Sémillon (11%), Clairette blanche (10%), Marsanne (8%), Roussanne (6%) and Grenache blanc (1%)

Our 2023 Elpidios includes three components that were fermented and matured in concrete square tanks â€" Grenache noir, Syrah and Pinotage, with the balance of wine in this blend being matured in a single 4100 litre old oak foudre and older 500 litre oak barrels. The winemaking process involves the use of 50% on average whole bunches, natural yeast, long maceration on the skins and pressing after completion of alcoholic fermentation.
Grenache noir (26%), Syrah (24%), Carignan (22%), Pinotage (20%) and Cinsaut (8%)

These wines are packed in wooden boxes.
