About this Item

Merlot 2010
6 (1 x 6) 750ml
Meerlust is one of South Africa's most historic estates, in the Myburgh family for eight generations, on the cool, maritime flats near False Bay in Stellenbosch. This is its Merlot, a benchmark Cape example, plush yet structured. 2010 was a cooler, balanced Cape vintage. Neal Martin reviewed it for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

Critics Ratings

"The 2010 Merlot is blended with 9% Cabernet Franc and matured in 60% new French oak. It offers pleasant red berry fruit with hints of black olive and iodine on the nose. The palate is sweet on the entry with fleshy ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit that segue into a spicy, but controlled opulent finish. Fine." - Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Oct 2013)
