Critics Ratings

"Not quite up to the excellent standard of the 2015 Cabernet (it's a vintage thing), but this current release is still a smart Simonsberg release that has the fine tannins that are a hallmark of the Thelema style, classy oak and a core of savoury blackcurrant fruit. 2020-28." - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2019, 93/100 (Sep 2019)

"Impressive crafting & balance, confirms why Stellenbosch is renowned for Cabernet. Intensely perfumed & flavoured, cassis & spice, hint of graphite supported by fine-grained tannins, toned 18 months in 45% new oak. 2016 has musculature for a long life." - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2020, 4.5* (94/100)
