About the SessionA fine selection of white Burgundy, spanning the full range of the region's great Chardonnay appellations - from the flinty, mineral wines of Chablis through to the richer, more textured expressions of the Côte de Beaune. Highlights include Grand Cru bottlings from Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet and Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet, alongside benchmark Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet from names such as Roulot, Coche-Bizouard and Etienne Sauzet. Producers represented range from grower-estates to celebrated négociant houses, offering collectors an excellent cross-section of what white Burgundy does best.

Domaine Bruno Clair, based in Marsannay, was founded in 1979 and rebuilt from the dissolution of his grandfather's legendary Domaine Clair-Daü, and today ranks among Burgundy's most admired estates, farming old vines across many of the finest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. This village Marsannay, from the estate's home appellation at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, is a blend of several parcels. 2019 was a superb, low-yielding Burgundy vintage of ripe fruit and bright acidity.
