Fontodi spans the full range of the estate from the benchmark Chianti Classico through multiple vintages of Flaccianello della Pieve, their iconic Sangiovese IGT, to the crown jewel Vigna del Sorbo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione. Fontalloro is Fèlsina’s landmark pure Sangiovese, an IGT drawn from vineyards that straddle the boundary of the Chianti Classico zone at Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is the wildest and most characterful wine in the range, full of the savoury Sangiovese personality that defines the estate. The 2016 came from a great Tuscan vintage marrying ripeness with freshness, and critics rated it as one of the finest expressions of this wine to date.
