The KWV Limited Release Port 1979 represents a historic collector's piece from South Africa's most powerful 20th-century wine institution. Produced from traditional Cape Port varieties matured in large casks in KWV's extensive Paarl cellars, this wine has spent nearly fifty years in bottle developing the classic complexity of an aged tawny: dried fig, orange peel, walnut, caramel and the warm integrated spirit that only extreme age can produce.
These older KWV releases are among the rarest and most historically significant South African fortified wines in existence.
