The Semillon vineyard was planted at Boekenhoutskloof in 1997. This vineyard is situated on the banks of the Franschhoek River and has the perfect mesoclimate for proliferation of Botrytis cinerea. Tim Atkin MW awarded 96 points in his 2020 SA Special Report.

“This cuvée of Semillon with 1% Sauvignon Blanc comes from a vineyard planted just behind the characterful tasting room at Boekenhoutskloof. Picked in the middle of May and made from botrytis-affected grapes before fermentation in new French oak, it has peach and tarte tatin flavours, 186 grams of residual sugar, perfumed oak spice and a slight volatile lift." - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2020, 96/100
