CIWG 1993

The 1993 Stellenbosch vintage produced wines of genuine classical structure and balance. Kanonkop’s 1993 CIWG Cabernet Sauvignon is a Simonsberg-grown selection produced for the Cape Independent Winemakers Guild auction - the name under which the Cape Winemakers Guild operated from its founding in 1982 until the name changed to CWG between 1997 and 1998. Full-bodied, deep red and balanced between Cabernet fruit, oak, acidity and tannin in Kanonkop’s classic Simonsberg mould, with the structural backbone and long ageing potential that the estate’s finest selections are known for.
