‘The nose shows a hint of reduction before dark fruit, olive, lavender, fynbos and pepper while the palate has dense fruit, bright acidity and smooth tannins. Great depth of flavour, remarkably well balanced and admirably dry on the finish. “Suave” is the word that comes to mind.’ - Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 94/100 (Jan 2022)
‘The 2018 Syrah, which includes 40% whole bunch, has a very intense bouquet of macerated dark cherries, boysenberry, mint and light garrigue scents. The palate is medium-bodied with bold tannins and layers of licorice-tinged black fruit. Grippy and firm, this Syrah will require 2–3 years in bottle to soften. Very fine. 2023-2032’ - Neal Martin, Vinous, 92/100 (Apr 2021)
