Notes
This design of spiralling wave-like bands is among Lalique's later Art Deco designs. 'Ondes', meaning wave in French, reflects the more abstract and geometric aesthetic of the mid-1930s.
The swirling concentric pattern evokes rippling water and light, demonstrating Lalique's mastery of moulded glass as a sculptural medium.
