About this Item
Notes
These chairs were made by Frystark during the 1960s who were one of South Africa’s leading furniture manufacturers at the time. The merging of the Frye brothers' furniture business from Port Elizabeth with GH Starck Ltd of Cape Town in 1959 resulted in Frystark furniture manufacturers. Their work remains highly sought after for its craftsmanship and timeless mid-century style.
This suite is part of their Danish-inspired 'Status' range. The softly rounded forms, functional simplicity and quality craftsmanship reflect the influence of Scandinavian modernist design.
