Glass perfume bottle and stopper with amber and teal inclusions
engraved 'D Reade 94'
hand-blown glass
height: 18cm; width: 22cm; depth: 6cm
Notes
David Reade's scent bottles are among his more refined and technically demanding forms.
In this example, the core is encased within a clear outer layer, creating the appearance of a floating colour mass. This technique requires exact timing and temperature control, particularly in relation to the fitting of the stopper, which must be ground to ensure a precise seal.
