Notes
Elma Vestman and Aleksanders Klopcanovs, the founders of the Kalahari Studio, were responsible for introducing contemporary international Modernism to South African ceramics and revolutionising local ceramic design.
The biomorphic shape of this jug with its strong organic sculptural form references mid-century Scandinavian ceramic Modernism.
