'Andrea Mullineux makes this brilliant Chardonnay from a cool, False Bay-influenced vineyard at 600 metres on the Helderberg, using full malolactic, even in a warm, dry year like 2018 and 30% new wood. Leesy, vivid and focused, it has racy, stony acidity and flavours of lemongrass and buttered toast.' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2020, 96/100
'The 2018 Chardonnay has a very attractive bouquet with detailed scents of dried honey, yellow plum and touches of mango and beeswax. I could nose this all day! The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, sporting gorgeous notes of orange peel and mango, and just a touch of spice toward the finish, which has a subtle resinous quality. Complex and engaging, this is a marvelous Chardonnay from Mr. and Mrs. Mullineux. Drink 2022-2038.' – Neal Martin, Vinous, 95/100 (Apr 2021)
'Matured for 18 months in French oak, 30% new. Pear, white peach, citrus, oatmeal and some struck match on the nose. Excellent fruit concentration without being unduly weighty, punchy acidity and a saline finish. Great focus and detail – this has layers and layers of flavour.' – Christian Eedes, WineMag.co.za, 95/100 (Apr 2020)
