3 x 1.5 litre bottles of Beeslaar Pinotage 2022

The Beeslaar Pinotage is the foundation of our brand and was the first wine in our stall. The beauty of this bush vine vineyard planted on shale soils persuaded me to show a more delicate side of this variety.

The grapes are fermented in open-top fermenters and punched down every two hours for three days. After fermentation, it spends 20 months in 50% new French oak.

The wine has a deep ruby red colour and beautiful red fruit and cake spice on the nose. It has a layered, complex structure with a dry, mouth-watering finish.

Pinotage has been a passion of mine, because it has long been a misunderstood variety. We have just started to scratch the surface of what this variety can offer.
