Hammel Møbelfabrik, now known as Hammel Furniture, was established in1961 by Verner Kristensen and Søren Didriksen. The company has a history rooted in Danish craftsmanship and design, focusing on creating quality furniture with a blend of traditional techniques and modern vision. Over the years, the company has expanded, but has maintained its commitment to Danish manufacturing and design principles.
This piece uses book-matched veneer, a decorative wood veneer technique where adjacent veneer sheets are opened like the pages of a book creating a mirror-image effect with symmetrical grain patterns.
