'Miles Mossop used fruit from two vineyards in Bottelary to make the initial release of this stunning blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with 15% Merlot, which stands slightly above its peers as the best Cape red Bordeaux blend of the 2017 vintage. There are only 600 bottles, alas, so get in the queue now. Dense, savoury, yet light on its feet, it has fine, nuanced tannins, stylish 43% new wood, cassis, plum and tobacco notes and fine, balanced finish.
