About this Item
South Africa 1929-2006
Oak table for Binnehuis, South Africa, circa 1980s
the rectangular top with rounded corners, above a shaped apron, raised on turned tapering legs
75cm high, 127,5cm wide, 63cm deep
Notes
The post-war ideal of making furniture affordable and accessible to all, meant that mass production sometimes resulted in compromised quality.
The South African mid-century brand, Binnehuis was always associated with excellent craftmanship. Solid hardwood furniture pieces such as this oak table are a rare find.
