Notes
Shirley Cloete studied the techniques of hand-blown glass under Annette Meech in Covent Garden, London. Her inspiration came largely from the play of light in nature. She was instrumental in pioneering the Studio Glass movement in South Africa and exhibited both locally and internationally.
