Notes
Ernest Rancoulet was a French sculptor best known for his Neoclassical bronze figures of mythological creatures, society women, and athletes. Rancoulet participated in the Paris Salon for several years, regularly exhibiting his elegant figurines and portrait busts. Born in Bordeaux, France in 1870, his life and career was prolific but short, ending with his death in 1915.
