Producer Tasting Notes: The 2015 Estate is medium to full-bodied with a dark core and dense crimson rim. The fine vintage has dialled the Estate up to another level in 2015. Inky blueberries and black cherries are reined in by earthy, black truffle and iron-like notes. The balance of savoury herbs, liquorice, graphite and elegant perfume gives the wine a magical edge. One third Shiraz offers super-rich, fruit-coated tannins that are seamlessly knit with the classy Cabernet Sauvignon. The oak is beautifully judged as the finish is long and silky. It is debonair and yet somehow weightless. The Estate 2015 will age well for 10-15 years as the powerful tannins integrate further.
