About this Item
Produced from vineyards established by Rosa Kruger, the Cape Point Vineyards Isliedh is sourced from south-facing vineyards situated high on the Cape Point peninsula overlooking Noordhoek. This harsh, marginal climate is prefect for the production of characterful wines and is responsible for one of SA’s finest white wines – the 2015 Cape Point Vineyards Isliedh. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, it is an age-worthy, multiple award-winning South African benchmark.

Critics Ratings
‘The 2015 Isliedh Sauvignon Blanc comes from vines located towards the top of the estate, mainly on windswept granite soils. It is a blend of 83% Sauvignon Blanc and 17% Semillon, matured in 40% new French oak barrels for ten months. This has an earthier bouquet compared to the Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, cold stone and flinty notes merging with dew-dappled Granny Smith apples and freshly sliced pear. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, that flintiness surfacing once again, coupled with sea spray and oyster shell aromas. The persistence in the mouth is very impressive, the saline finish urging you back for one more sip.’ - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, 93/100 (Apr 2017)
‘Cape Point’s celebrated white Bordeaux blend (Sauvignon Blanc with 17% Semillon) comes from the highest and windiest part of the farm, grown on granite soils. Wood and amphorafermented, it’s a remarkably complex wine: saline, zesty and herbal, with aromas of wild herbs, grapefruit and nutmeg and a texture that’s almost tannic. Drink: 2016-21.’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2016, 95/100.
'Vibrant, vivid and fresh with beautiful layers of tangerine, white blossom, tropical fruit and laced with a soft hint of herb. Silky smooth on the palate, filled with lime blossom, grenadilla, a cool, flinty mineral thread and braced with a racy acidity.’ - Decanter World Wine Awards 2016, 95/100
