In 1873, he relocated to Paris, where he collaborated with art dealer Charles Sedelmayer until 1897. Throughout his later career, he regularly exhibited at the Salon des Champs-Elysées and received numerous accolades, including gold medals at the World's Fairs in Paris, Chicago, and Antwerp.
