Stig Lindberg was a Swedish ceramic designer and a prominent figure in mid 20th century who was known for his ability to merge practicality with aesthetic appeal. He created whimsical studio ceramics and graceful tableware lines during a long career with the Gustavsberg pottery factory. He became famous for his eccentric forms and whimsical decoration evident in these leaf motif plates which reflect his innovative and artistic approach to ceramic design.
