Jo Hammerborg 'President' table lamp, for Fog & Mørup, Denmark, 1960s
Notes
Jo Hammerborg studied at the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts and although he started his career as a painter, in 1949 he began working as a silversmith for Georg Jensen. In 1957 he became the head designer of Fog and Mørup lighting company. Under his leadership, Fog and Mørup enjoyed its greatest successes, becoming one of the world's leading lighting companies during the 1960s and 1970s.
Jo Hammerborg was also a sportsman, he loved parachuting and died in a skydiving accident in 1982.
