Willy Rizzo 'TRG' rotating cocktail table, Italy, 1970s
with circular black laminate and stainless steel top, with inset ice bucket on lower tier, 36cm high, 129cm diameter

Notes

Willy Rizzo (1928-2013), born in Naples, was a celebrity and Hollywood photographer. His models included Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn. At a later stage in life, Rizzo discovered that his clientele loved his particular aesthetics and sense of style so much that he decided to design furniture. Marilyn Monroe and Salvador Dali were amongst his clients.

The 'TGR' Circular Revolving Table by Willy Rizzo is one of the first furniture pieces designed by the Italian photographer. "I created it in 1969 for Igor Cassini's apartment in Palazzo Torlonia. The room was circular, so I got inspired to create a round table." - Willy Rizzo
