Salviati was founded by Antonio Salviati in 1859 in Murano, an island in Venice known for its long-standing glassmaking heritage. The Murano glass is characterized by his whimsical designs. Salviati initially focused on reviving ancient Venetian glass techniques, including those from the Renaissance period, and played a significant role in popularising Murano glass internationally. Each piece is hand-blown and meticulously decorated, showcasing the skill of the Murano glassmakers.
