Notes
Globe Pottery was Pretoria's first pottery studio and is often confused with Linnware which was produced at a similar time. They produced low-priced household items such as vases, jugs and and dinnerware, that were moulded not thrown, and often used more mechanical glazing techniques compared to Linnware.
Globe was taken over in 1957 by the owner of a studio in Garsfontein and re-named "Elwood Ware."
