Notes
Hennie Griesel painted the present lot in 1965, for Earl Buntman's father. At that time, Griesel was working with him on a civil engineering construction site in Kroonstad, operating a bulldozer. During his breaks, Griesel would observe his surroundings, commit them to memory, and then paint them at home in the evenings. These paintings have been in the possession of Buntman's family ever since, and they have been displayed in both his parents' home and his own.
