Wine: Italy and Spain
About this Item
Pazo Señoráns is built in a magnificent 16th century Galician house on one of the finest properties in Rias Baixas. While they only released their first vintage back in 1989, Pazo Señoráns is now considered one of the finest producers in all of Spain. Originally owned and managed by husband and wife Javier Mareque and Marisol Bueno, both the Pazo and the winery are now in the hands of their four children – Marisol, Vicky, Javier and Santiago. The family works tirelessly to produce wines that faithfully reflect the land in which they are grown. In recent years, they have been involved in projects that specialise in the study and preservation of the region’s native grape varieties.

Critics Ratings
‘Distinctive and alluring, rich on the palate and enlivened by crackling acidity. This white delivers maturing flavors of dried peach, lanolin and chamomile, with mineral and briny accents. Complex, balanced and juicy.’ - Thomas Matthews, Wine Spectator, 92/100 (Oct 2015)
‘The 2007 Albariño is a worthy successor to the 2006. Sourced from the oldest vines in Rias Baixas and aged on the lees with batonnage, the wine is light gold-colored with aromas of lemon meringue and white peach. On the palate the wine has superb depth, layers of fruit, intense flavors, and a lengthy, pure finish.’ - Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, 92/100 (Aug 2008)
