A pair of Japanese Satsuma vases, Meiji period, 1868-1912

each baluster body decorated in high relief with a continuous scene of Rakan and Arhats with a scaly stipple work dragon below, the neck decorated with mon against a gilt ground with clouds, everted lip with iron-red rim, mon symbol and six-character mark, restoration to one rim, the larger 25cm high
