1980 - 'Well-made dry red blend with beautiful finish. Now blended from Cabernet, Shiraz, and a little early Tinta Barocca. Cabernet Franc and Merlot will be introduced in the future. 1989 - '1989 brilliant garnet depth, substantial, complex-flavoured, weighty, delicious - almonds, kirsch, cassis mix; strong tannic structure in finish. Perhaps finest so far, though will need year or two to become approachable, is so powerful. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon mainly, and Franc, with Merlot, some Shiraz.
