Critics Ratings
'Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon 1992 with deep plum hues, sweetly friendly, plummy cassis bits and pieces on palate. If you not up to 1989 VGG, 1991 and future, magnificent 1994, the 1992 slots in ahead of recent 1990 VG and forthcoming 1993. These generally sturdy, deriving richness, power – rather than smooth elegance – from mature vines, couldn’t-be-simpler open tank-fermentation. Moderate new oak barrel-maturation (30% vs. 50% for Paul Sauer); balance in 2nd/3rd-fill barrels for 16-20 months.' - Platters SA Guide 1996 - 4*
