the centre decorated with three sprays of peonies, the rim with a band of bamboo, peony and foliage, fritting chips, hairline cracks, 23cm diameter; and another Qing Dynasty, early 19th century, the centre decorated with two courtiers in a pavilion observing a pair of small boys playing before a balustraded garden, another viewing the scene from a window, the rim painted with figures at various pursuits, the reverse painted with sprays of peonies and chrysanthemums, hairline cracks, fritting chips, 25,5cm diameter
