‘A lightish dark ruby colour and a very expressive nose of ripe fruit with a hint of leather. This fruit concentration is seen clearly on the palate alongside some well-structured underlying vanilla from the oak and hints of bitter chocolate and black currant. ‘Consistent with the prior bottle, 7 years ago, this has turned out really lovely. Hard to pin down in a way, because I'm not sure it's done developing. Either way, this is a lovely wine, with an impressive balance of fruit and acid that really showcase the grape and place, not some style.
