Simone Marie Farah is a South African artist of Lebanese descent, practicing in Johannesburg. Primarily self-taught, Farah continues to expand her practice under the guidance of South African artist, Ricky Burnett. She explores recreating circumstances through the movement of pattern and colour. Gradually building the painting's surface by manipulating the consistency of the paint into thick, colourful layers. She has exhibited works with a number of South African galleries including In Toto Gallery, The Henry George Gallery, and Julie Miller African Contemporary. Internationally Farah's work has been presented in Italy, Switzerland, Spain, the USA, and Lebanon.
