Bennamani’s academic background is in visual arts, cultural policies and heritage preservation. She studied at the La Fontaine School of Arts and Design in Paris, and at the École Supérieure des Métiers des Arts et de la Culture in Aix en Provence.

In 2017, Bennamani was selected for the ‘Femmes d'Avenir en Méditerranée’ programme run by SciencesPo, Paris, where she developed her understanding of the relationships between the arts, politics and society as well as the place of women within these areas. In 2019, she participated in the Casa Mediterraneo program ‘Young Leaders in the Mediterranean’, which aimed to raise awareness of resilience through the arts in the socio-political context of revolution.

The artist follows an Arts/Society, Arts/Identity approach and was awarded an ONU Femmes art residency, Dar Abdellatif. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Algeria including Octopus at Espace d'Arts Contemporains (ESPACO) and Chronique d'une déchirure at the Ateliers Sauvages.

Internationally, Bennamani exhibited at the Encuentra Internacional del Arte Mediterraneo de Alicante, in Spain, and in Waiting for Omar Gattlato at the Wallash Art Gallery, Columbia University, in New York.
