‘The 2015 Elgin Clonal Selection Syrah was matured in 38% new wood for just under 18 months. It has a lovely bouquet of blackberry, raspberry coulis, fennel and light pressed iris aromas that gently waft from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and smooth in texture, with supple tannin, gentle grip and dark berry fruit mixed with brown spice and sage leading to a nicely proportioned, quite sustained finish.
