About this Item
Copenhagen, Denmark
A Danish Georg Jensen silver water pitcher 'No. 432E' designed by Johan Rohde, post 1945, .925 Sterling the side applied with an ebony handle, 22,5cm high, 530g 1
Notes
This water pitcher was the result of the collaboration between Jensen and the highly educated, aristocratic Rohde whose medical and architectural studies can be seen in the precision and strong conception of three dimensional form. The design combines both beauty and utility, "skonvirke", that underpinned Jensen's design approach by integrating fine craftsmanship into the everyday.
