Notes
Furniture manufacturer McIntosh from Kirkcaldy in Scotland was founded by Alexandcer Henry (AH) McIntosh in 1869. They were renowned for their teak cabinetry and sideboards and exhibited at the World Fair in Paris in 1878. During WWI the factory manufactured airplane wings, which would later influence the sculptural handles that we see on the 'Dunvegan' sideboard, which comes from the iconic collection of Tom Robertson, who was the Design Director of McIntosh from 1948-1983.
