A Chinese carved hardwood figure of He Xiangu, early 20th century
the Daoist Immortal standing beside a crane, the robed figure holding a sceptre in her left hand and a stem of a lotus bloom in her right, the finely coiffed chignon with diadem, her left shoulder carved with a pomegranate and peach bloom, her belted robe adorned with a double gourd, her right side carved with a crane, on an openwork carved rocky outcrop, some restoration, 75cm high
